Just released – “Botanic Garden Creation: From Idea to Realisation” is a booklet by James Furse-Roberts that looks at the process of master-planning for botanical gardens. It is available free from here as a pdf or as a hard copy upon request. A lot of the topics and the approach discussed in this document are also relevant to the master-planning of other natural heritage attractions.
It's great to see the garden FRLA designed for Boschendal generating good publicity for the client. A well designed landscape can not only improve the quality of the visitor experience but also raise the profile of an organisation.

This bespoke gate was designed by FRLA @frla_ltd for the Woodland Trust's Tring Park @woodlandtrust site as part of a project to create a new car park and arrival space. The form takes inspiration from the wooded hillside that is a prominent feature in the landscape. Handspring-design @handspring_design have done a great job with the fabrication.
